On March 7, Wang Huoli, Party Committee Secretary of the School of Foreign Languages (SFL) of Wuhan Institute of Technology (WIT), and Ding Chunyi, Deputy Party Committee Secretary of SFL, led a delegation to Beijing for an enterprise visit initiative aimed at expanding employment opportunities for graduates. In the morning, the delegation visited New Channel International Education Group’s Beijing school. They were warmly received by Li Junjie, Vice President of New Channel International Education Group and Head of the Beijing & Wuhan Schools; Yu Min, Director of the IELTS Project Division and concurrently Principal of the IELTS Guomao Center; Tao Shuai, Director of Customer Service; and Sun Weiwei, Director of the Marketing Department and New Media Center.

During the meeting, Li Junjie provided a detailed introduction to New Channel’s development history, business scope, and future plans, with a focus on the company’s strengths in language training and study-abroad services. Wang Huoli highlighted the disciplinary characteristics, talent cultivation model, and graduate employment situation of the School of Foreign Languages, expressing hopes for in-depth collaboration in areas such as internships, curriculum development, and study-abroad education. The two sides also engaged in thorough discussions on topics including recruitment needs, financial support for students facing difficulties, and joint curriculum development, reaching preliminary cooperation intentions.

In the afternoon, the School of Foreign Languages visited Beijing Zhongke Huilian Technology Co., Ltd. The company’s President, You Shixue, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and provided a detailed overview of the company’s latest achievements and talent needs in artificial intelligence, language technology, and smart education. During the meeting, Wang Huoli introduced the school’s disciplinary development and graduate employment situation, expressing a desire to collaborate with Zhongke Huilian in language technology research and development, interdisciplinary talent cultivation, and internship opportunities. He also proposed the establishment of a joint internship and practice base to deepen industry-academia-research integration.

This enterprise visit initiative has laid a solid foundation for the School of Foreign Languages to further deepen industry-academia collaboration and expand employment channels for graduates. Moving forward, the school will continue to adopt a “going out and inviting in” approach, actively building platforms for school-enterprise cooperation, striving to provide more high-quality job opportunities for graduates, and supporting them in achieving fuller and higher-quality employment.
