l Master fundamental theories of computer science and specialized knowledge in software engineering;

Program Features and Advantages

This program integrates English language and literature with software engineering, emphasizing interdisciplinary competence and practical application. Students will receive comprehensive training in English listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation, while also studying core courses such as Software Design and Development, Project Management, and Database Principles. Through lab training, project development, and corporate internships, we strengthen practical education to enhance students’ engineering capabilities and global competitiveness.

Software Engineering Faculty Highlights

Liu Wei, Professor, Master’s Supervisor. Research interests: intelligent computing, adaptive collaborative systems. Has led projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and Hubei Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and participated in 973, 863, and European Research Council (ERC) projects.

Yi Guohong, Professor, Master’s Supervisor. Graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Computer Software and Theory). Research areas: software engineering, software security, machine learning. Published over 30 SCI/EI-indexed papers. Conducted research as a visiting scholar at Texas A&M University (2013–2014).

Wen Dawei, Ph.D., Lecturer, Master’s Supervisor. Graduated from Wuhan University (Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing). Research interests: change detection, image processing, deep learning.

Chen Deng, Ph.D. (Postdoc), Associate Professor, Master’s Supervisor. Graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Computer Software and Theory). Research areas: software security, industrial vision, system simulation. Published over 70 SCI/EI-indexed papers.

Yang Zhi, M.A. in English Language and Literature, Associate Professor. Member of Hubei Translators Association. Graduated from Southeast University.

Jin Hai, Associate Professor, Master’s Supervisor. Worked as a journalist and editor at Wuhan TV Station (1995–2001). Pursued further studies at the University of Trier (Germany), majoring in Computational Linguistics, with minors in Mass Communication and Phonetics.

Our students have achieved remarkable success in academic and professional competitions. For instance, in the “Lanqiao Cup” competition, students won first and second prizes in Hubei Province and a national special prize. In the FLTRP Writing Contest, a student received a third prize in Hubei. These accomplishments reflect our students’ excellence in both technical and English application skills.
